Foothills Regional High School recently announced the expansion of its Virtual Learning Services (VLS), launching June 2, 2025, to provide increased flexibility and academic support for students enrolled in most of its in-person programs.

The enhanced VLS will allow students to connect with certified teachers online Monday through Thursday, from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., using a direct link available in their Canvas courses. This convenient access enables students to receive timely help and supplemental instruction beyond Foothills' traditional in-person hours.

"This initiative is not a replacement for in-person learning and is separate from our fully virtual campus," said Superintendent Sherrie Gibney-Sherman. "Rather, it's an added layer of support that empowers students to stay on track toward graduation, catch up on missed work, or even get ahead."

By expanding access to real-time virtual support, Foothills continues to deliver on its mission of removing barriers and meeting students where they are—academically, personally, and logistically.

Note: Students from corrections, YCP (daytime), and students in the alternative program will not have access to VLS.
